Meet Steve Eyres, a fixture of the Salisbury DJ scene for over two decades. Starting with a pair of Soundlab belt drive decks before upgrading to the classic 1210s he still uses today, Steve’s career took off in 2001 at Enzos nightclub. He and Darren Kidd quickly built a following playing trance classics at Sin-a-bar, leading to residencies at Po Na Na and Tremor Nightclub, where they performed alongside Lange and Graham Gold.

After these clubs closed, Steve found a new home playing funky house at Mojo bar. Following a break, he returned to the decks with DJ Sean Demaine on ukdance.fm, forming “Your Resonant DJs.” Their monthly Resident Radio show became popular for its mix of funky house and dance anthems, featuring segments like “Track from 10 Years Back,” “Monthly Mashup,” “Thank Funk it’s Friday,” and “Technologic”, all of which can be listened back on Mixcloud.

Steve’s passion for live events led to the creation of “No Gimmicks,” hosting parties at Kludo and The Music Box with fellow ukdance.fm DJs.

In 2023, he returned to the live scene, playing at Modus, Streetlife, and Shindig Festival, and reviving the Tremor vibe with “Surreal presents Shakedown.”

Recently teaming up with Sean Ladd and Glyn Jones to bring “No Gimmicks” a fresh lease of life.

Even off-stage, Steve stayed connected to the scene with mixes on MixCloud and virtual events during the COVID lockdown. His sets are a journey through house music, from 90s piano house to tech house, progressive house, and minimal techno. Steve Eyres is a dedicated DJ with a passion for great dance music.
